About the collection
STITCH is a kilim rug. Kilim is the name for a thin, flat, graphic rug that is woven like a tapestry. It is made by weaving the horizontal thread (weft) through the vertical thread (warp). The rug is woven so tightly that the warp is barely visible. This makes it a very durable rug, able to withstand weight and movement.
STITCH rugs are made of a series of hand-woven strips of wool, approximately the width of the human body. This size is ideal for the rug weaver to work quickly and independently.
After weaving, the strips are placed side by side and hand-sewn to create a large rug. The length of the strips varies slightly, giving the weavers room for error when weaving and adding a unique detail to the rug. There are also variations in the color of the stripes, which brings a more understated complexity to this otherwise subtle design.
Interview
Flat weaves are dense, durable and strong… even the lightest ones. This means that you will be happy together for a long time, as long as you take care of each other. Here are some simple tips to enjoy your rug for a long time:

01. Professional dry cleaning is your best friend
02. If you spill liquid on the carpet, do not hesitate to absorb it immediately with a damp cloth.
03. Clean it regularly with a vacuum cleaner
04. If you see any loose thread, resist the urge to pull! Simply cut off the excess with sharp scissors.
05. We recommend using a rug pad that will keep it in place and prevent the weave from loosening with use.
