Sophie Lafleur e st is a graphic designer, illustrator and visual artist from Montreal. A graduate in graphic design from UQAM, she worked as a designer in various agencies before becoming a freelancer and offering her illustration services.
Her graphic style is defined by flat areas of vibrant color outlined with bold contours. Her illustrations are often filled with details and hidden jokes, forming mosaics of little stories. She is particularly fond of skeletons, which she draws in various comical situations. These skeletons are among the stars of a series of stationery products that the illustrator sells at craft markets.
Beyond skeletons, Sophie also has a visual art practice inspired by the consequences of climate change on the city of Montreal. Her works stand out for their absurd, apocalyptic vision: the tropicalization of Montreal.
