Olena Kozel and Erin Ahl are the owners of Public General Store, located on Treaty 1 territory in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Public began in 2016 as a boutique offering quality home and wellness products. Over time, they began experimenting with creating their own product line under the Public brand; an endeavor that has since evolved into a full collection of candles, fragrances, and incense.

Their goal has always been to create with intention, because they believe that fragrance is much more than just a product: it's an experience. It carries memories, evokes emotions, and has the power to transform a place. Today, they work in a studio in Winnipeg's Exchange district, where they focus on their product line, offer an exclusive shopping experience, and host pop-up shops that allow them to stay connected with their community.
