Sarah Beatty received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from OCADU in 2004. From 2002 to 2017, she taught high school art and participated in a collaborative art project called Good Morning Press in Toronto. In 2017, Sarah and her partner moved to the beautiful Slocan Valley of British Columbia to raise their children. She built a pottery studio at home and has been making pots ever since.

Sarah creates simple, functional forms. Her work focuses primarily on relationships and can extend to topics such as emotional experience and implicit narrative, as well as form and color. She draws inspiration from art, popular culture, animation, literature, and her children.
