"I fell in love with wool felting when I was a teenager. While browsing the internet at a very young age, I was amazed by these colorful, sculptural scarves made by a woman in New York, and I was compelled to try making one for myself. After many failed attempts, I managed to create something I was proud to wear. Felting became a hobby that remained mostly in the background while I spent my twenties training and working as a contemporary dancer.

And then I became a mom, and I was drawn back to my desire to make things with wool. I started Margaret Jane Design as a way to explore all the ideas that were brimming over in my mind and have spent the last 9 years trying to push the boundaries of what felted wool can be. I still feel like there is so much I want to do with this medium and I am thrilled to have the chance to join this group of talented small shop artists."
