Le Tenon et la Mortaise is a duo composed of cabinetmakers and designers Caroline Roberge and Benoit St-Jean. Based in the beautiful village of Saint-André-de-Kamouraska in the Bas-St-Laurent region since 2016, they design and manufacture household objects and furniture with a contemporary and utilitarian design. Inspired by the natural qualities of the material, the couple values solid wood in a minimalist way, seeking to create spaces of joy and comfort. Using cabinetmaking techniques on a human scale, the duo creates simple, functional, durable objects with beautiful details that enrich interior spaces and those who live in them.
