Jess Klassen is the creator of Stories of Textiles, one-of-a-kind tufted fiber art. A rug tufting gun is used to create rugs, wall hangings, mirror frames, and more, made primarily with wool. All pieces are designed and crafted by hand. Jess creates textiles in many forms, blending form and function, color and texture, art and craft. Her work is guided by color combinations you can sink your teeth into and the textile work of the family matriarchs.

She enjoys exploring the history and stories of textiles, with a particular interest in gender themes, the social and political histories of crafts, and modern interpretations of historical work. With her rugs, she has played with quilting themes inspired by stories ranging from Gees Bend to her grandmothers' quilts.
