Originally from Sherbrooke, Marc-Olivier Lamothe is a multidisciplinary visual artist. He graduated in computer graphics in 2009. He has always been drawn to the world of design and creation. A few years after his studies, he began exploring painting and illustration more as a hobby.

In 2018, he created his first large mural in his hometown as a personal project, considering the impact of color and art on passersby and the community. After a stint with an agency, he launched his career as an independent multidisciplinary artist. Since then, Marc-Olivier Lamothe has produced numerous murals in Quebec for festivals and private commissions. His work has also traveled to various countries, including the United States, France, Portugal, Spain, Peru, China, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, and Japan.

He enjoys navigating his art from the tangible world to the digital world and vice versa, exploring different mediums such as handmade paper, clothing, murals, and digital projections.

His visual identity is primarily composed of abstract cut-out shapes, natural elements, and whimsical characters and creatures. He aims to create works that transport people and bring them joy. If the time someone spends in front of one of his murals allows them to forget the darker aspects of their life for a moment and brings a smile to their face, then he considers it a success.
