All the pieces in this collection are inspired by the local flora of the St. Lawrence River shores, gathered during my walks throughout the year. I kept a journal of plant rubs during these walks, and this collection is the tangible embodiment of that personal diary. These wreaths are cut and shaped by hand from a sheet of brass. They are equally beautiful hung on a wall or placed in the center of a table, with a flickering candle at their center. They are especially lovely by candlelight.\"\u003c\/em\u003e\n\u003c\/h5\u003e\n\n \u003ch5\u003e\u003cem\u003eMy name is Sarah Kestenberg, and I'm a self-taught, multidisciplinary artisan from Montreal. I work with paper to create meticulously handcrafted, botanically inspired paper flowers and plants for the home. My earliest memories are of collecting and pressing plants, shells, lichens, and seaweed, and carefully preserving my precious collections.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/h5\u003e\n\n\u003ch5\u003e \u003cem\u003eToday, my process begins with the study of flowers and plants in nature. I responsibly collect specimens of living plants in the spring and summer and carefully document them by making plant prints and smears. Then, through multiple iterations, I create my paper sculptures.
